A series of nine open lectures “Business vs. human rights – the current state of discussion”

The HFHR has the pleasure of inviting you to a series of nine meetings organised together with the Polish Business Roundtable.

The project will include lectures and discussions on business/human rights borderline topics. The purpose of the project is to reconstruct the contemporary state of discussion on human rights in the context of business operations and educate lecture participants in contemporary human rights challenges to business. Conclusions of lectures will be presented in a report published at the final stage of the project.

The opening lecture themed “Principal directions of the discussion on relations between business and human rights – an introduction to a series of lectures” will take place on 27 April at 5-6.30 pm at the HFHR conference room, ul. Zgoda 11. The lecture will be conducted by Adam Ploszka, coordinator of the HFHR’s “Human Rights and Taxes” Law Clinic.

A timetable of all meetings can be accessed here.

All persons who will participate in at least seven out of nine lectures will receive certificates.

During each lecture, participants will not only be given an opportunity to learn about the contemporary human rights challenges faced by businesses but also will be able to take part in a discussion with the lecturer, an expert of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

We are looking forward to having you joining us.
