Court’s approval of marriage between disabled persons

In last week the court consented to the marriage between Katarzyna Barszczewska and her partner.

As a courtesy to the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, Mr Tomasz Lustyk agreed to represent Ms Barszczewska pro bono. In May 2011 the representative asked the Mazovia Province Governor to supervise the conduct of the proceedings pending in Ms Barszczewska’s case. The case was included in the HFHR Article 32 Programme.
