HFHR awarded the Ikar Prize

Związek Nauczycielstwa Polskiego (ZNP), a national professional organisation of teachers, awarded the Ikar Prize to HFHR. “This award is presented in recognition of the special role of HFHR, so full of professionalism and dedication, to promote education for peace and tolerance, a role that is an inspiration for the young generation”, reads the recommendation.

During her acceptance speech, Danuta Przywara, President of HFHR, said, “This prize is very special to us, considering that we receive it from teachers, that is people who are responsible, more than any other person, for teaching tolerance and respect to others.”

“This prize is also a statement of the ZNP members to increase efforts aimed at teaching tolerance and respect to the young people, at teaching them values that are so needed in today’s world”, said Danuta Przywara.

The Ikar Prize was presented during a special session of the Management Board of the ZNP on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of its founding.
