HFHR’s one-semester placement programme

Law students are welcome to apply for a one-semester unpaid internship at the legal department of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights or the “Human Rights and Taxes” Law Clinic, an educational and intervention programme operated by the HFHR.

Placement programme in HFHR’s legal department

As part of their placement at the Foundation’s legal department, students will be participating in the works of the initial case review team and other legal programmes. The interns will be responsible for developing comprehensive case reports, carrying out reviews of possible legal actions and their implications, implementing certain pre-arranged activities by preparing drafts of intervention letters and legal opinions.

Students who are interested in applying for placement in the legal department should send their applications (a CV with a covering letter) to rekrutacja@hfhr.org.pl. The closing date for submission of applications is 9 October 2015. Selected candidates will be invited to an interview.

Placement programme at “Human Rights and Taxes” Law Clinic

Students involved in the “Human Rights and Taxes” Law Clinic will attend classes taught pro bono by Robert Krasnodębski, a legal counsellor and partner at Weil Gotshal & Manges. During classes, the students will be analysing selected tax law cases. Those from the Clinic participants who will be rated above-average students will be invited to take part in a summer placement programme at Weil Gotshal & Manges.

Applications (a CV with a covering letter) can be sent by email to a.ploszka@hfhr.org.pl with “Human Rights and Taxes Law Clinic” placed in the subject line. The closing date for submission of applications is 11 October 2015. Selected candidates may be invited to an interview.
