Programy

Głównymi kierunkami działalności Fundacji są:

– EDUKACJA MIĘDZYNARODOWA która obejmuje szkolenia teoretyczne z zakresu praw człowieka oraz ich ochrony (Szkoła Praw Człowieka), treningi umiejętności skutecznego działania na rzecz praw człowieka dla uczestników spoza Polski (Letnie i Zimowe Szkoły Praw Człowieka), treningi dla grup zawodowych (adwokatów, policjantów, nauczycieli).

– EDUKACJA KRAJOWA krajowa dla studentów i uczniów (Warsztaty Dziennikarskie Młodych POLIS). Fundacja organizuje również konkurs „Prawa człowieka w pracy magisterskiej”. Jedną z form edukacji jest też Międzynarodowy Festiwal WATCH DOCs „Prawa człowieka w filmie”.

– DZIAŁALNOŚĆ W INTERESIE PUBLICZNYM w ramach programów prawnych obejmuje monitoring tworzenia prawa i instytucji publicznych (np. warunków pracy sądów, policji, dostępu do pomocy prawnej), programy świadczące bezpłatną pomoc prawną dla obywateli polskich, uchodźców i osób należących do mniejszości narodowych.

The main areas of activity of the Foundation are:

-[International education programs], which encompass theoretical training courses on human rights issues and the protection of human rights, training courses for the development of the ability to act effectively in defense of human rights aimed at participants from outside Poland (the Human Rights Summer and Winter Schools), and training courses for professional groups (lawyers, Police officers, and teachers).

-[Education programs in Poland] for university and secondary school students, which include the Polis Youth Journalism Workshops.  In addition, the Foundation organizes a Human Rights-Oriented Masters Thesis Contest.  A further form of education is the WATCH DOCS: Human Rights in Film International Film Festival.

-[Activity in the Public Interest], which involves the monitoring of the legislative process, as well as of public institutions (e.g. the operating conditions of Polish courts, of the police, and the availability of legal assistance), by the Foundation’s legal programs, as well as the granting of cost-free legal assistance to Polish citizens, refugees and members of national minorities.
