“Business vs. human rights” project launches publication

The publication entitled “Business vs. human rights – the current state of discussion” has been launched by the project with the same name, operated by the HFHR from April to December 2016 and supported by the Polish Business Roundtable.

The project organised ten open lectures given by the Foundation’s lawyers, which included a discussion on business/human rights borderline topics.

“The publication, which is based on these lectures, attempts to answer the questions about when business is responsible for abuses of human rights and when business may invoke human rights as a defence in relations with the state”, says Adam Ploszka, a member of HFHR legal team and scientific editor of the publication.

“I am convinced that this publication, which raises many important subjects involving both the law and business, will contribute to further reflection about the mutual relations between business and human rights in Poland”, says Jacek Szwajcowski, President of the Board of Directors of the Polish Business Roundtable.

The publication may be downloaded from here.
